AP McCoy was presented with the “Outstanding Contribution to Sport” award at last night’s BT Sport’s Industry Awards at Battersea Evolution. The recently retired 20 times Champion Jockey won the evening’s most prestigious accolades for a career spanning twenty years, racking up more than 4,300 wins from over 16,000 races.
The Award, presented by Thierry Henry and Clare Balding, recognises and rewards the individual, team or organisation who has made the most impact in the world of sport. Previous winners include Brian O’Driscoll, Sir Alex Ferguson, Team GB, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson and David Beckham.
