Sir AP McCoy and Chanelle, Lady McCoy have been granted the honorary Freedom of the City of London Award; Chanelle for her contribution to Healthcare and Sir AP for his outstanding contribution to horseracing. Both said they were incredibly honoured and proud to receive the award from the Lord Mayor and Mayoress of London. The granting of the award is extremely rare and generally given only to royalty, heads of state, or figures of global standing.
