Champion jockey AP McCoy is to take part in a charity Pogo challenge at Newbury racecourse this evening. This jump-off is raising funds for the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation. The fundraiser has been organised by former eventer Claire Lomas, who walked the London Marathon 3 years ago in a bionic suit, following a riding accident in 2007 which left her paralysed.
AP will be joined on pogo sticks by Mick Fitzgerald, Sam Thomas, Dom Elsworth, Andrew Tinkler and Choc Thornton as they go head-to-head with eventers Laura Collett, Lucy Jackson, Emily King and Bruce Haskell.
