Champion jockey AP McCoy has broken Martin Pipe’s all-time winners record. Legendary trainer Pipe trained 4,191 winners in his outstanding career, but AP has now broken that record with his own number of career wins.
He reached this milestone on “It’s a Gimme”, owned by JP McManus and trained by Jonjo O’Neill. It is a personal and significant landmark for McCoy.
The 15 times champion trainer Pipe has always joked that if AP threatens his record he will come out of retirement, take out a licence and train a few more winners!
