AP McCoy is to spearhead a new initiative to add to the existing Jockeys Coaching programme to be known as “The AP Academy”. The Academy, “an inspirational programme of continued support and development”, will help to bridge the gap between claiming and full professional status.
The various activities will support the curriculum for jockey training and development to ensure it complements existing provision, avoids duplication and provides a key, high level training intervention. AP McCoy will be actively involved and provide direct career advice and support to these jockeys.
