“Being AP”, released in the cinemas and on DVD a couple of years ago, is to get a TV premiere on Sunday night, BBC2, 10pm. It follows the great jump jockey during the last season of his career. This was the season in which injury and time finally got the better of him in a way few riders managed.
As a study of fanatical drive, determination and single-minded will to win, you will not find a better film about elite sport. If you miss it, Being AP will be repeated on the BBC iplayer.
