Racing legend Sir AP McCoy provided the Metro newspaper with a feature interview to preview Cheltenham, whilst also promoting his sponsors and ITV’s racing coverage of the 2020 Festival. It is five years since AP retired from the saddle after a phenomenal career that saw him become Champion jump jockey on 20 successive occasions. He also enjoyed glory in the biggest races in the sport, including two Cheltenham Gold Cup victories, with Mr Mulligan in 1997 and Synchronised in 2012.
