Sir AP McCoy led a 100km cycle challenge as part of the Pat Smullen raceday, a major fundraiser for Cancer Trials Ireland. The raceday was held in memory of Smullen, one of Sir AP’s closest friends, who died from pancreatic cancer four years ago. All riders raised at least €3,000 to line up in the race, which was held over the same course and distance as the Irish Derby.
